SOFTWARES USED in Online Collaboration

1 WINDOWS (GUI)
Introduction         Years of research went in to the developing the prototype of today’s popular graphical user interface. So a long research in this field, by the Xerox Corporation resulted into the first graphical user interface in the Xerox computer before IBM PCs or Macintosh and GEM (from digital research), DESQVIEW.
Windows
Windows is a software program that makes an IBM PC (or compatible) easy to use. It does this by simplifying the computer’s user interface- a buzzword that the way you give your computer commands, the way we interact with it.
2. THE .NET Framework and the Common Language Runtime:
The Microsoft .NET Framework is an important new component of the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems. It is the foundation of the next generation of Windows-based applications that are easier to build, deploy, and integrate with other networked systems.
Most consumers will never notice that the .NET Framework is running on their Pocket PC, smart phone, or desktop computer. But they may appreciate the reliability, ease of use, and ability to connect to other systems that the .NET Framework helps bring to computers. The .NET Framework helps software developers and systems administrators more easily build and maintain systems with improvements toward performance, security, and reliability. Here's how.
